THE AGERA RS

pushes boundaries
all new levels of performance

AND TAKES IT TO

The Koenigsegg Agera RS has its focus set firmly on the track but is still perfect for regular use on the road. It uses advanced technology developed during our exclusive Koenigsegg One:1 program, while maintaining all the functionality of previous S and R models. Such practicalities include a usable luggage compartment and a detachable hardtop that can be stowed internally for top-down motoring at any time.

Agera RS enhancements include: advanced lightweight sound insulation, a front splitter optimized for the track, front winglets, side skirts, advanced dynamic underbody flap system and a dynamically active rear spoiler for added down force (now up to 450 kg at 250 km/h). The RS also features improved side air outlets behind the front wheels, increased power and a raised rpm limit.

Even with all this added functionality and equipment, the curb weight is even lower compared to the Agera S and R models, thanks to the use of advanced composites and layup techniques developed during the One:1 program.

HENNESSEY VENOM F5 CARBON FIBER CHASSIS
DESIGNED & ENGINEERED TO DELIVER 500+ KM/H (310+ MPH) TOP SPEED

Sealy, Texas & Silverstone, England – After an extensive two-year long engineering and development phase, the Hennessey team has done it again. The company has built an all new carbon fiber chassis that will serve as the foundation of the Venom F5.

Built entirely of carbon fiber, the all-new ground-up design has been engineered and built to propel the Venom F5 to a top speed of over 500 kilometers per hour (310.7+ mph). The new F5 chassis is both strong and light weight. Torsional rigidity has been measured at 52,000 newton meters per degree (38,353 lb-ft torque per degree) and the total weight is just 86 kilograms (190 lbs).

“Our all new carbon fiber chassis is an engineering marvel and to see it in person is like looking at a piece of artwork. It’s like a piece of automotive jewelry that’s built to run 500+ km/h,” said company founder and CEO, John Hennessey.

The first three Venom F5’s are currently in production and testing will begin in Q2 2020. The base price for the Venom F5 is $1.8 million and Hennessey is only building a total of 24 examples, 12 for the American market and 12 for international markets. US allocations are close to being sold out. The Venom F5 will make its official debut at The Quail during Monterey car week in August of this year.

Being mated to the new chassis is Hennessey Specialty Vehicles’ all-new bespoke 1,800+ hp engine called Fury. Based on classic American V8 architecture, the Hennessey Venom F5 engine produces an astounding 1817 horsepower and 1193 lb-ft of torque. It uses a combination of high-tech, lightweight engine components (crankshaft, pistons, connecting rods & custom engine block) that combine for 6.6L of displacement. Combined with a pair of Precision ball bearing twin turbochargers with 3D printed titanium compressor housings, the Venom F5 engine delivers over 1800 bhp at 8000 rpm!

5.SSC Ultimate Aero TT

SSC Ultimate Aero

Top Speed: 256.18 mph
Power: 1,183 hp

he SSC Ultimate Aero TT however was one of America's only mid-engined cars, and it most certainly wasn't your usual type of sports car. If anything, it could be more accurately described as a hypercar. For this was the car that invaded its way onto the throne of the fastest production car in the world, right in between the Bugatti Veyron and the Veyron SuperSport.

With a top speed of 256mph, it still up there with some of the fastest machinery every to grace the earth – yet it seems to have been forgotten about under what can sometimes appear to be a cluttered onslaught of frantic speed machines that come and go.

6.Koenigsegg CCXR

Koenigsegg CCXR

Top Speed: 249 mph
Power: 1,004 hp

A GREEN GIANT

The CCXR was a CCX with “Flower Power” added to it, as it could also run on recyclable ethanol (E85 to most). The CCXR was the world’s first green Supercar.

No other supercar manufacturer at the time was even considering the environmental approach. The CCXR was not just green, either, as the ethanol fuel had higher octane rating than normal pump gas, which meant the CCXR took performance to an entirely new level.

The CCXR featured a highly modified CCX engine that ran on E85 as well as normal petrol in any mixture thanks to an advanced and Koenigsegg developed flex fuel system. When running the CCXR on petrol, the 4.7 liter twin-supercharged Koenigsegg engine delivers 806 Bhp. This already-impressive figure raised to an astonishing 1018 Bhp when the car ran on E85 Biofuel – again giving Koenigsegg the title as the world’s most powerful production car.

In 2009 The CCXR Edition was awarded “one of the 10 Most Beautiful Cars in history” by Forbes Magazine and chosen for the Power Car Award 2008.

7.Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo

Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo

Top Speed: 248 mph
Power: 750 hp

Being a 2005 Twin Turbo example, this particular unit is powered by a twin-turbo 7.0-liter Ford Windsor small-block V8 putting down 750 horsepower and 700 pound-feet of torque. 750 ponies may have become fairly standard supercar fare in recent years, but back when this Saleen was new, it placed the American-made exotic firmly in hypercar territory with a manufacturer-claimed top speed of 248 mph. Despite the mountain of power and speed, the S7 came exclusively with rear-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission. 2005 may not have actually been that long ago, but it was certainly a very different time.

8.McLaren F1

McLaren F1

Top Speed: 240.14

he McLaren F1 is a sports car designed and manufactured by British automobile manufacturer McLaren Cars, and powered by the BMW S70/2 V12 engine. The original concept was conceived by Gordon Murray. Murray was able to convince Ron Dennis to back the project. He engaged Peter Stevens to design the exterior and interior of the car. On 31 March 1998, the XP5 prototype with a modified rev limiter set the Guinness World Record for the world's fastest production car, reaching 240.1 mph (386.4 km/h), surpassing the modified Jaguar XJ220's 217.1 mph (349 km/h) record from 1992.

9.Pagani Huayra

Pagani Huayra

Top Speed: 238 mph
Power: 720 hp

The Huayra's sole trim is the BC roadster, a convertible with enough fire and flash to stir the hearts of the brand's longtime devotees. The initials in this trim's moniker are a tribute to the late Benny Caiola, a car collector who holds the distinction of being Pagani's very first customer. Specially designed Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires wrap 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels in front and 21-inch rims in the rear. The Huayra BC comes standard with lower-body aero elements and a massive wing, and Pagani claims these features work hand in hand to produce a maximum of 1102 pounds of downforce at 174 mph. All models are equipped with a titanium exhaust that directs exhaust gases to the functional diffuser, much like the blown diffusers of Formula 1.

10.Ferrari Enzo

Ferrari Enzo

Top Speed: 221 mph
Power: 651 hp

The Enzo, launched in 2002, took lessons learnt from each of the aforementioned iconic models to form the basis of what was by now called a hypercar. The Pininfarina-styled body might not be the most classically pretty design to come out of Modena, but the Enzo’s sharp detailing and Formula 1-derived aerodynamics informed the design to an extent unseen in previous Ferraris.
